Senior Backend Engineer We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our global team and take ownership of building high-performance backend services and APIs. About the Project – Zephyr Cloud Zephyr Cloud is a next-generation deployment and management platform that: Unifies tools for building, testing, and deploying applications Supports instant feature releases with safe rollbacks Accelerates CI/CD with a developer-first approach Scales seamlessly for startups and enterprises Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services & APIs (REST/GraphQL ) in Node.js Work with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP ) and integrate services Optimize backend systems for stability, performance, and security Participate in architecture decisions, technology selection, and system improvements Mentor backend engineers and promote best practices Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to transform requirements into technical solutions Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues quickly to ensure high reliability Requirements 5+ years of backend development experience (Node.js preferred) Strong background in system architecture, scalability, and distributed systems Proven experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines Hands‑on expertise in optimizing backend performance and working with databases Technical leadership and mentoring experience is a plus Fluent English (written and spoken) Comfortable working remotely with distributed international teams (LATAM preferred) We Offer Strategic role in a global fast‑growing company Opportunity to shape engineering practices and technical direction Remote‑first culture and flexible working hours Competitive compensation (B2B contract) Open and collaborative team culture #J-18808-Ljbffr
