Network Engineer Position:The role of the Enterprise Network Engineer is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities to ensure seamless network operations.Network Solution Installation and Configuration: The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, and designing network solutions using Cisco routing and switching platforms.Customer Interaction: Direct customer interaction is essential; the engineer must be able to explain their thought process to both engineers and leadership teams.Strong Understanding of Routing and Switching Technologies: A solid grasp of routing and switching technologies is necessary to excel in this position.LAN Switch Technologies Experience: Strong experience with LAN switch technologies including STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, MSTP, LACP, VLAN, VXLAN-EVPN is required.Cisco Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with Cisco platforms: ISR 800/******************* series, ASR ****, Catalyst ****, ****, ****, **** is a must.Background in Installation, Configuration, Testing, Troubleshooting, and Solution Design: A background in installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and solution design across routers and switches is crucial.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to explain network strategy to customers and internal teams are vital.Leadership Experience: Experience leading customer workshops, creating HLD and LLD documents is a desirable skill.Service Provider Domain Exposure: Service provider domain exposure, including XR, ASR9K, MPLS, BGP, BNG, Segment Routing, is highly beneficial.SDN Knowledge: Familiarity with SDA, SD-WAN, or ACI is an advantage.Nexus Switches Experience: Experience with Nexus switches, UCS, or Hyperflex is a plus.Network Automation Skills: Proficiency in network automation tools such as Python, Ansible, Go, or Splunk is a valuable asset.
