Senior Software Engineer

We're an early stage startup looking to change the world (shocking, right? )We here at Zenode are building an AI copilot for electrical engineers to automate the monotonous, repetitive tasks in PCB design the same way that Cursor has done for software engineers. We have trained a custom AI to read the component datasheets that serve as the instruction manuals for every step in the design process, from discovering components, to wiring them together, to validating the design, to debugging the prototypes, and finally to manufacturing them at scale.Since our V2 launched in July, we've been regularly doubling our usage and are desperately in need of another A+ fullstack engineer whose a self-starter and passionate about owning varying problems from web crawlers to CI/CD pipelines to UI as we build out the future of electronic design.**About the Job**We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to be our Swiss Army knife—someone capable of contributing to every layer of our tech stack. From data pipelines to backend services, frontend interfaces, and DevOps infrastructure, you'll have the opportunity to shape and build every aspect of our product.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving big challenges, and loves wearing multiple hats while working at a fast-moving startup.**Key Goals**Data & AI Pipelines - Maintain and optimize systems to handle data ingestion and processing for AI training.Backend Development - Design and build APIs while optimizing our backend for performance, scalability, and maintainability.Frontend Development - Create responsive, clean, React interfaces based off of Figma DesignsDevOps Infrastructure - Establish CI/CD pipelines while maintaining scalability and monitoring costs.**Key Responsibilities**Own and improve entire workflows from the database to the frontend.Contribute to data-heavy projects, including web crawlers, data cleaning, and entity resolution.Work closely with the product and AI teams to design and implement new features.Balance building new features with maintaining reliability and scalability as the product grows.**Qualifications**Must-Have Skills:5+ years of professional experience in software development.2+ years of experience working with knowledge graphs (e.g. Neo4j)Proficiency in both backend and frontend development.Expertise in Python and modern frameworks like React and Rust.Experience building RESTful APIs and working with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS).Should-Have Skills:Experience working in an early-stage startup environment.Proven ability to handle large-scale data pipelines and optimize for performance.Understanding of modern best practices for frontend usability and accessibility.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience with Supabase, Retool, or similar platforms.Knowledge of machine learning pipelines or AI model training.Passion for hardware, electronics, or PCB design.Soft Skills:Self-Motivation – Take initiative and ownership of your work.Passion – Be excited about solving complex challenges and building meaningful tools.Flexibility – Thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.Attention to Detail – Sweat the small stuff without losing sight of the big picture.Communication – Work effectively with a small, tight-knit team and communicate when deliverables are on track vs likely to be missed**Why Join Us?**Fully remote with flexible hours.Above-average pay for the LatAm region, with equity upside.Work on cutting-edge AI and have a hand in every layer of the product.High-growth environment where your contributions directly shape the product and the company.Senior candidates preferred, but passionate mid-career engineers are welcome.Work hard on something that matters, with people you like.If this sounds like your dream role, we'd love to hear from you Apply now and join us on our journey to reshape how hardware engineers work.
