Hydranautics is a part of the Nitto Group of companies and one of the global leaders in the field of integrated membrane solutions.We offer complete membrane solutions like reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration for water, waste water and process treatment and applications.Hydranautics membrane-based solutions are currently in use on seven continents throughout the world for diverse applications such as seawater desalination, industrial high-purity water, surface water treatment, waste water treatment and specialty process applications.POSITION OVERVIEW:Under general supervision, create and sustain technical information on existing and new products, performance, and applications.Provide field services to customers.Oversee the operation of pilot units for customers.Conduct product root-cause analysis, recommend corrective measures, and collaborate with customer to implement those improvements.Write technical product specifications.Provide feedback on competitors product performance.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATESProvides technical support to Sales & Marketing staff as well as customers regarding company's products, applications, and systems operation.Directs start-up commissioning at plants; manages pilot testing activities and operation of membrane; evaluates plant data and assesses membrane performance; develops plant performance reports; trouble-shoots plant problems or identifies root cause of performance issues making appropriate recommendations for system improvements while working with customers and end-users.Analyzes data from pilot tests to extrapolate design and performance to a full-scale system.Identifies needs to change design features for new and existing products; advises appropriate internal staff.Creates and writes technical information on organization's product specifications and product bulletins.Prepares technology case studies and technical papers for journals.Collaborates with customers with system start-up, operation, and maintenance, including providing technical training to customers on system operation.Builds business relationships which benefit Hydranautics strategic sales plan.Participates in the evaluation of returned products relative to field operations.Reviews designs, and warranties prepared by sales staff to develop sound offerings and obtains required approvals.Studies pre-treatment and post-treatment technologies to determine the impact on membrane performance.Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or comparable; 6 years' experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) or A & E companies and commissioning water treatment plants, a plus.Working knowledge of water chemistry concepts, fluid flow and water pressure as well as analytical method and technical writing; above average understanding of Reverse Osmosis, Ultrafiltration and Microfiltration processes and products.Working knowledge of plant processes, RO, NF and UF with practical application to the field.Solid understanding of the construction and manufacture of Spiral Wound elements and Capillary modules, modes of failure of membrane systems, and the effects of cleaning chemicals on the products.Ability to conduct analytical evaluations and identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions to improve product performance.Sound analytical methodologies for product evaluation.Strong application of critical thinking skills along with exceptional problem-solving skills.Strong multi-tasking skills, flexibility in responding to rapidly changing, dynamic processes and demands/pressures in a fast-paced environment.Strong ability to verbally communicate across functional organizational groups, provide high-level customer service through effective interpersonal skills and conflict resolution.Advanced Microsoft Office Suite software applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other enterprise software applications.Travel for extended periods and work with a flexible schedule.Must be able to meet physical demands and work environment requirements.Salary $ - $ Hydranautics offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.We believe diversity is key to our competitive advantage and value the diversity among our employees.We are proud to be an EEO employer.
