With forensic accounting professionals in over 40 offices on 5 continents, MDD has global resources to assist our clients with their forensic accounting needs.
MDD helps insurance companies, independent adjustment firms, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals calculate the true economic damage of claims or disputes.MDD is looking for an Accounting Assistant with previous office experience to serve as an essential supporting function to our firm's employees, Partners and clients across the US.
As you will be joining a small evolving team, flexibility, collaboration, and a willingness to learn is key.
The ideal candidate must be highly self-motivated, detail oriented and capable of working both independently and as a member of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts ReceivablePrepare AR statements / overdue noticesBuild relationships with clients through professional calls and emailsRecord AR follow up activity in our ERP softwareWork with colleagues to escalate and resolve problematic receivablesBillingPrepare, review, and process all client invoicesSend invoices to clients via email and client portalsComply with client requirements around billing frequency and pricingMonitor billing email inbox and respond to billing requests from Partners and ManagersWork with colleagues to escalate and resolve billing queriesOther administrative dutiesUpdate our ERP softwareSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseDegree or in-progress studies in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field3+ years of relevant experience in a similar roleFluent in English (Spanish is a plus)Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word skillsExcellent time management and verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a mustAbility to change priorities and multitask efficientlyPossess an aptitude for numbers
