Storage Management Engineer (NetApp)Location:Brasília, BrazilJob Type:Full-Time, Onsite ResidencyLanguage:English & Portuguese fluency preferredAbout the RoleWe are seeking aStorage Management Engineer (SME)for an onsiteResidency Programin Brasília, Brazil, to support a leading customer usingNetApp technologies.This is afixed-price, full-time residency role, focused on delivering proactive and reactive operational support, system monitoring, diagnostics, and technical advisement to help the customer maximize the value of their NetApp storage infrastructure.As a resident engineer, you'll act as the customer's trusted advisor on all things NetApp – performing upgrades, monitoring system health, coordinating with global support, and optimizing operations in real time.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and support NetApp Data ONTAP® systems and firmwarePerform storage monitoring using NetApp tools (e.G., Operations Manager)Handle hardware diagnostics and part replacement coordinationWork directly with NetApp Global Support Center (GSC) for escalationsDocument the NetApp environment and changes performedProvide proactive service management including:Software/hardware release planningBug and patch analysisDisaster recovery (DR) supportData migration and archival planningParticipate in change management and customer status meetingsProvide weekly written reports and act as the customer's advocate within NetAppAssist with automation through scripting (as needed)Analyze AutoSupportTM diagnostic data and provide trend reportsRequirementsProven experience withNetApp storage technologiesand toolsHands-on expertise withNetApp ONTAPand system upgradesFamiliarity withNetApp hardware, diagnostics, and part replacementsExperience coordinating with support teams (GSC or similar)Knowledge of disaster recovery, data migration, and backup strategiesStrong documentation and reporting skillsAbility to work independently and manage customer relationshipsFluent inEnglish and PortugueseNice to HaveNetApp certifications (NCDA, NCIE)Experience in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or others)Previous residency or onsite support experienceKnowledge of third-party systems in hybrid storage environmentsLanguageEnglish (Required)
