We're seeking a seasoned Ruby expert to spearhead the integration of Discourse with an existing Community platform.This key initiative involves crafting a seamless P1 integration, including secure Single Sign-On via Okta and OIDC, intricate group and role mapping, robust backend adapters, shared UI elements, and efficient webhook delivery into our analytics stack.Deliver a production-ready P1 integration within two sprintsImplement SSO using Okta and OIDC, ensuring secure token handling and session flowsCreate and test group and role mapping between Community roles and Discourse groupsDevelop backend Ruby adapters for moderation, taxonomy, and role syncing, gated behind feature flagsImplement shared header and navigation elements for a consistent cross-platform experienceDesign and validate webhook pipelines from Discourse into Snowflake for analyticsCraft a clear cutover and rollback plan, including checklists and validation stepsCollaborate on technical designs, threat models, and operational readiness documentsPair with frontend and backend engineers to land adapters, UI integration, and test coverageCoordinate with Security and IT on Okta configuration, secrets, and access policiesWork with Data Engineering to finalize webhook schemas, retries, and observabilitySupport sprint ceremonies, demos, and unblock teammates on integration or Ruby-related workEnsure all deliverables are tested, documented, and ready for production
