About Our TeamDelivering High-Impact Digital ExperiencesWe are a fully remote, global software company delivering high-impact, modern digital experiences.We work with mission-driven organizations and product teams to build scalable, accessible, and performant web platforms.Our team focuses on deep WordPress and modern JavaScript experience.Job Description:A Senior WordPress Developer is required to join our engineering team.This position focuses on backend development — building and optimizing custom WordPress plugins, APIs, and integrations for large-scale, high-performance websites.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop custom WordPress plugins and themes from scratch using PHP, MySQL, and modern best practices.Implement advanced custom fields (ACF), custom post types, and taxonomies for structured data management.Optimize database queries and improve performance across complex WordPress sites (meta queries, caching, indexing).Integrate WordPress with third-party APIs and automation tools (REST, webhook systems, Make/Zapier, Algolia, etc.).Develop and maintain cron jobs, background tasks, and data synchronization scripts.Build and maintain Gutenberg blocks or React-based admin components when required.Ensure sites meet performance, accessibility, and SEO standards (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals).Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, design) following Agile practices.Write clean, well-documented, and unit-tested code following OOP principles and WordPress coding standards.Required Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience, focusing on backend and custom plugin work.Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is also required.Experience with WordPress hooks, custom queries, and optimization strategies is essential.Benefits:This role offers the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to high-profile projects.Advanced written and spoken English is required for international client communication.
