Lead Engineer-Control System

Job Title: Lead Engineer-Control SystemCompany: GE VernovaJob OverviewAs a Lead Engineer Control System, you will be responsible for project execution activities on Control System design and working for Hydro Control System COE.You will work autonomously and deliver as directed and under supervision of the Main Package Engineer (MPE, Control System COE) or by the Control System Engineering Manager.You will perform hardware and software design of various hydro control system packages for one or more projects, on own DCS or 3rd party control solutions.Role & ResponsibilitiesPerform contract analysis, concept design, reverse engineering, prepare work-statement documents.Document technical data generated for the assigned project.Review supplier documents (IO list, P&ID, Minfex data) and prepare/update IO lists.Create supplier technical specifications for BTS or BTP DCS solutions, coordinate with suppliers and follow up technically.Prepare/update logic programs, HMI mimic views as per P&ID and standard faceplates.Perform design reviews as per plan, record outcomes and track actions until closure.Prepare and update OMM documents.Track project schedule and implementation plan.Undertake occasional short-term travel to customer and supplier premises for technical discussions, design follow-up, testing, FAT, etc.Perform site survey activities, mapping existing systems and compile design inputs.Prepare de-commissioning and dismantling manuals for the system.Deliver training programs to internal and external customers.Work on quality & productivity improvement and cost-out actions.Perform interface engineering, site support.Develop standards and design practice guides and use them in projects.Collaborate seamlessly with local and global teams on project execution activities.Guide and motivate fellow team members.QualificationsBachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Control from an accredited college or university.Controls Engineering experience with relevant experience in PLC hardware design and software programming.Knowledge of applicable standards and best practices in DCS design, including HW design, SW logic, and HMI design.Familiarity with global cybersecurity standards such as IEC***** & NERC-CIP.Tools expertise – Rockwell Automation/Mark VIe/Siemens/ABB/Emerson based Control System tools (RS Logix, Studio ****, FT View, Control ST, Cimplicity, Workstation ST, SCALA, SICAM).Preferred industry experience – Power, Large EPC, Oil & Gas.Strong English and Portuguese language skills (both oral and written).DesirableWorking experience on Rockwell Automation or Mark VIe based Control System.Experience on other reputed DCS systems such as Siemens, ABB, Emerson.Candidate with exposure in Cybersecurity domain.Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a fast-paced project execution environment.Clear communication and listening skills.Ability to guide and motivate team members.BenefitsCompetitive salary with multiple benefits like subsidized meals, medical, accidental & life insurance coverage.Home office opportunity and flexible working hours (subject to business and HR approval).Career growth opportunities, professional and personal trainings.Multicultural & diverse environment with enthusiastic team and supportive leaders.Work ModelHybrid (3 days office).Inclusion & DiversityAt GE Vernova, we believe in the value of your unique identity, background, and experiences.We are committed to fostering an inclusive culture, where everyone feels empowered to do their best work because they feel accepted, respected, and that they belong.Relocation Assistance Provided: NoSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustryElectric Power GenerationReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at GE Vernova by 2x#J-*****-Ljbffr
