**About the Client**Our client is a US-based business managing a series of small enterprises, with a primary focus on a property management company.They operate with a small, close-knit team, offering a collaborative environment where the Accounting Assistant would work directly with a business partner.**About the Role**:Our client is seeking a detail-oriented **Real Estate**Accounting Assistant** to support financial operations in their property management business.Key responsibilities include working in AppFolio (and possibly QuickBooks) to categorize expenses to specific properties, manage monthly and ad-hoc reporting, assist with bill pay organization, and handle a backlog input project.The role requires problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a willingness to learn **AppFolio**.**Previous experience with accounting tools or property management systems is a plus.****What You'll Be Doing**:- Work in AppFolio (and possibly QuickBooks) to manage financial transactions.- Accurately categorize expenses to specific properties.- Prepare and maintain monthly and ad-hoc financial reports.- Assist with organizing and managing bill pay duties.- Prioritize handling a backlog input project as an initial focus.- Collaborate with AppFolio's support team to resolve issues and find solutions.- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and adaptability while learning new systems.**Who We're Looking For**:- 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related role.- Previous experience working with **AppFolio** and/or QuickBooks.- Proven experience managing financial reporting, categorizing expenses, and analyzing financial data.- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis.- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting processes.- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.- **Experience in real estate and property management is a plus.**:- Strong organizational and time management skills.- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and finding solutions with mínimal supervision.**Position**: Real Estate Accounting Assistant**Remote Status**: Fully Remote**Working Hours**: 8 am to 5 pm CT**Salary**: USD **** to USD **** per month**Internal Job ID**: ****
