Join us in our goal of making a house your home.FinanceThe Regional Financial Controller LATAM, within the wider controllership team, is responsible for overseeing all financial controller activities in the region, ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This role ensures accounting practices align with corporate policies and local regulations, providing strategic support to senior management.
It involves stakeholder management with internal teams (Tax, Treasury, Shared Services) and external parties (auditors, banks, tax authorities).
The position reports to the local Finance Director and Global Corporate Controller.About the roleThis role is part of the newly formed Essential Home Finance Controllership team, tasked with setting up the overall finance and controlling functions across Europe, North America, and LATAM.
We aim to build an agile, entrepreneurial team focused on action, accountability, local ownership, and collaboration.
Responsibilities include designing and managing processes such as Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, establishing policies, controls, consolidation, reporting, audit, and compliance with local taxes.Your responsibilitiesEnsure monthly financial reporting complies with IFRS and group policies.Prepare annual statutory accounts and meet local regulations.Maintain accurate accounts through managing shared service providers.Review reconciliations and approve high-risk assumptions.Sign off on regional trial balances and balance sheets.Analyze financial trends versus forecasts and budgets.Coordinate audits and implement recommendations.Ensure consistency between external reports and internal systems.Cash Flow, PTP & OTC: Lead forecasting, identify insights, and improve processes.Controls & IFRS Compliance: Develop and maintain internal controls, stay updated on IFRS changes.Tax & Adjacent Processes: Oversee VAT and indirect tax submissions, support payroll, insurance, FX management.Stakeholder & Team Management: Build relationships, monitor service quality, lead finance teams.Transformation to Standalone Group: Drive transformation efforts, implement new systems, and support building a new finance shared service.The experience we're looking forAccountancy qualification and higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.Senior leadership experience in financial controllership.Deep knowledge of IFRS and local standards.Experience managing outsourced service providers.Experience with group reporting, external audits, SAP, Hyperion, S4H, and Microsoft Office.Fluency in English is essential.The skills for successPositive attitude, resilience under pressure.Trust-building and team collaboration skills.Ability to build processes from scratch and simplify existing ones.Proactive, detail-oriented, and strategic thinker.Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.Comfortable in changing environments and influencing senior stakeholders.Achievement-oriented with entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and teamwork focus.
