Director, Mobile Engineering Lead

The OpportunityWe are looking for a skilled Director, Engineering Lead to manage an important big mobile project for a 70,000+ people company.You will be responsible for managing 3 teams of 15 mobile developers plus test engineers building amazing digital products, and you'll help them achieve their personal and professional goals.You'll also drive the team and our clients to use cutting-edge techniques and processes for software delivery, and use your technical prowess to shape the solutions we create.You will engage with different internal and external C-Level and Director stakeholders in negotiating the best course of action and goals to achieve, making successful decisions to launch a solution that is their next big investment.This is a position that requires someone who will take full ownership of a project that will impact the lives of millions of users across the globe.Location and FlexibilityThis is a hybrid role.This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from one of our offices in São Paulo or Porto Alegre.Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.QualificationsHave professional engineering experience — at least 8 years building digital products, and at least 5 years leading a team;Have professional engineering experience with Mobile app development technologies (Android, IOS or React Native);Have managed a team of software engineers building digital products, and been responsible for growing the people on the team through goal-setting, coaching and feedback;Have familiarity with CI/CD, Agile techniques for managing work, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing;Have owned the delivery of a complete digital product, with code that is durable, secure, scalable and thoroughly tested;Strong experience with stakeholder management, both internally and externally, handling challenging discussions and negotiations;Can simplify and communicate about complex problems around technology, business processes, user experience and development tasks;Fluent English and Portuguese skills - including written, verbal, and presentation;This role is open to our São Paulo or Porto Alegre office.This position will initially be assigned to a client that requires a temporary on-call work arrangement.Further details regarding this work format will be provided during the selection process.Why Poatek / WillowTree?In addition to being part of an international and innovative consultancy company, you will have:Flexible hours and autonomyWork with cutting edge technologiesPartner with global and relevant brands in the marketCollaborative team and learning ecosystemCareer development plan & growthInternational travel opportunities (optional)Some of our benefits:Health and dental planLife insuranceMonthly voucher for meals, culture, education, health and mobilityChild care assistance and moreEquality is a principle here at Poatek/ WillowTree.We are committed to building an inclusive team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, beliefs, and experiences.Therefore we provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.#J-*****-Ljbffr
