We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to join our fast-growing SaaS startup.
This role combines financial planning & analysis with hands-on operational finance support, including accounting journal entries, invoicing, and managing payables and receivables.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, experience with SaaS metrics, and the ability to work cross-functionally, culturally in a fast-paced environment.
Financial Planning & Analysis Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
Track and analyze key SaaS KPIs such as MRR, ARR, churn, retention, CAC, LTV, and gross margin.
Perform variance analysis against budget and forecasts, identifying performance drivers.
Accounting & Operational Finance Support monthly and quarterly accounting close by preparing and reviewing journal ledger entries.
Assist with invoice preparation and processing for customers and vendors.
Manage accounts payable: verify vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile accounts.
Manage accounts receivable: monitor collections, follow up on overdue accounts, and update AR aging reports.
Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
Collaborate with external accountants/auditors to support statutory and compliance requirements.
Business Partnering & Reporting Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to assess the financial impact of initiatives.
Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports for management, the board, and investors.
Build dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance.
Strategic Projects Support fundraising efforts by preparing investor materials and assisting with financial due diligence.
Participate in scenario planning, cost optimization initiatives, and other strategic projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's or CPA/CFA a plus).
Fluent in English.
2–5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or financial operations (SaaS experience preferred).
Strong understanding of SaaS business models and subscription metrics (plus).
Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Linear).
Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, Stripe).
Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with shifting priorities.
