Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech ApprenticeshipJoin to apply for the Pharmacy Technician / Pharm Tech Apprenticeship role at Walgreens.This range is provided by Walgreens.Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$*****/hr – $*****/hrOverviewWalgreens Pharmacy Technician positions have transitioned to a patient-centric environment.The apprenticeship program offers training to become a PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician, with national credential.ResponsibilitiesAssist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision, complying with state and federal regulations and company policies.Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions, including data entry and validation.Model and deliver a distinctive customer experience, greeting patients, resolving issues, and sharing best practices.Execute operational tasks such as counting, pouring, verifying medication, scheduling workflow, and reporting prescription errors to pharmacist.Handle cash registers, process third-party claims, maintain inventory, and support pharmacy department maintenance.Assist with clinical services when required, including sample collection and coordination of Walgreens healthcare clinics.Support pharmacy manager and staff pharmacist in building relationships with local medical community.Carry out special assignments and other tasks as directed.Training & Personal DevelopmentEarn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program or state-required certification.Attend manager-requested training and acquire continuing education credits to maintain knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments.Basic QualificationsFluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.Preferred QualificationsApproximately six months of experience in a retail environment.Prior work experience with Walgreens.Strong math skills for accurate prescription filling.Good computer skills.Knowledge of store inventory control.PTCB certification.We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.An Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability/veterans.BenefitsFull benefits information can be found at jobs.walgreens.com/benefits (If unable to click, copy and paste this URL).Seniority levelNot applicableEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionHealth Care ProviderThe role will remain open until filled.Salary range remains $17.5 – $21 per hour.#J-*****-Ljbffr
