They should contribute technically but focus more on shaping team direction, focus, and delivery.

We select engineers globally for brilliance and motivation, and our managers help teams achieve their potential and take pride in their results.The role of a Cloud Field Engineering Manager at CanonicalThe team of cloud solutions architects at Canonical works directly with customers to design private and public cloud solutions tailored to workload needs.
Technologies include on-premise solutions like Openstack, MicroCloud, Ceph, and deployable solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, Spark, PostgreSQL.
Managers and team members deploy, test, and hand over solutions, and participate in presales to advise during sales processes.The manager is responsible for line management, career guidance, developing engineering talent, representing the team technically, and driving collaboration with other teams and customers.
