Our digital marketplace provides manufacturers with critical resources to grow their businesses, while enabling buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to access global manufacturing capacity.Xometry is seeking an experienced Staff-level Backend Engineer with strong Python or Rust coding expertise to join our software engineering team.
You will work with a skilled, collaborative team to evolve our instant-quote product and the underlying technology platform.

Your contributions will be crucial to the Xometry platform.
This is a 1-year contract.ResponsibilitiesDesign, code, test, and deploy software solutionsReview and write code in HTML, Typescript/Javascript/React, Python, and RustCollaborate closely with engineers and product managers within an autonomous, cross-functional teamManage operational aspects of services, including deployment in AWS and Kubernetes, and participate in on-call rotationsSupport your personal growth in a dynamic environmentQualifications10+ years of experience in a fast-paced technical environment as a software developerStrong English communication skills, both written and spokenSolid understanding of software engineering fundamentalsKnowledge of HTML, CSS, DOM web programmingExperience with at least two of Python, Rust, and ReactExperience with build and testing tools such as Git/Github actions or GitLabUnderstanding of security, scalability, asynchronous programming, and transactions in software engineeringKnowledge of service-oriented architectures and ability to lead related initiativesExperience with relational and NoSQL databases, including normalization, constraints, transactions, replication, and shardingAttention to detail, strong work ethic, multitasking ability, and good communication skillsPlease submit your resume in English.Xometry is an equal opportunity employer.
