SOFTWARE ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineering Associate based in Brazil. We are looking for a motivated software engineering professional to design, build, and deploy high-quality technical solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. In this role, you will contribute across the software development lifecycle, from writing and reviewing code to deploying applications and improving infrastructure. You will work alongside senior engineering leaders, collaborate with distributed teams, and help maintain reliable production systems. Your contributions will directly support customer success through effective engineering practices and responsive incident resolution. • Software Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain modern technical solutions that address business and customer needs.
• Code Quality and Reviews: Collaborate with senior engineering leaders to conduct code reviews, improve engineering standards, and promote maintainable, reliable software.
• Deployment and Release Management: Deploy solutions to staging and production environments, supporting smooth releases and dependable application performance.
• DevOps and Infrastructure Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize development processes, infrastructure, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot customer incidents, helping restore service and minimize disruption.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work effectively with offshore engineering resources and distributed teams to coordinate development activities and deliver technical solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas, share knowledge, and adopt practices that improve the quality, scalability, and operational performance of systems.

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent education.
• Professional

Experience:
At least three years of experience in IT, computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
• Software Development: At least two years of experience with web applications, mobile applications, microservices, or AI technologies.
• Technical Knowledge: Experience with relevant technologies such as Node.js, HTML, CSS, SQL, SaaS, PaaS, AWS, R, Python, Java, TensorFlow, iOS, or Android.
• DevOps

Experience:
At least two years of experience with DevOps practices or tools, such as Chef.
• Database Development: At least two years of experience developing with non-relational databases, such as MongoDB.
• Communication

Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize technical information clearly and collaborate across teams.
• Personal Attributes: A proactive, energetic, and positive approach to problem-solving, with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and contribute to team success.
• Preferred

Qualifications:
Experience with advertising technology, business intelligence reporting, or multilingual and localized applications is an advantage.
