Scientific Computing / Research Engineering Expert – Engineering
We are hiring for our client for a 10-week contract opportunity.
Contract: 10 weeks | Immediate Start
Location:
Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil, Colombia Commitment: Full-time, 40 hrs/week + 4 hrs PST overlap daily Pay: $30-$40/hr equivalent Average Task Time: 6 hours Type: Contractor assignment — no medical/paid leave Role Overview Our client is looking for Engineering experts to support a frontier AI initiative focused on creating realistic scientific and technical tasks used to train and evaluate AI agents. The work involves translating real-world engineering workflows into reproducible computational tasks involving modeling, simulation, optimization, data processing, debugging, and technical validation. Requirements
• PhD in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Aerospace, Civil, Materials, Biomedical, Robotics, or Control Systems Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, Julia, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with scientific data, modeling, simulation, numerical analysis, or optimization.
• Experience working in Linux or terminal-based environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering units, numerical methods, physical constraints, and technical validation. Responsibilities
• Design realistic, multi-step engineering and scientific tasks.
• Create datasets, simulation inputs, configuration files, and technical workflows.
• Develop solutions using Python, C/C++, Julia, MATLAB/Octave, Bash, or relevant engineering tools.
• Build reproducible computational environments.
• Create automated tests and objective grading criteria.
• Debug technical, numerical, dependency, and performance issues.
