Senior Data Engineer

TCS is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in customer data modeling, SQL, data integration, and cloud-based data engineering, preferably within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing scalable data models, developing and managing data pipelines, integrating customer data from multiple systems, and ensuring data quality, governance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain customer-focused data models, ensuring data integrity, governance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Build, manage, and maintain data pipelines in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Integrate customer data models from multiple systems, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and quality.
• Perform data integration across different sources, applications, and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust and scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data security, quality, governance, and compliance throughout data engineering processes.
• Implement and maintain ETL/data integration processes to support business and analytical requirements.
• Identify and resolve data-quality and integration issues across different systems.
• Document data models, processes, integrations, mappings, and data flows.
• Follow data engineering best practices to ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, and reliable. Required Skills & Qualifications
• Proven experience in customer data modeling.
• Strong experience in Data Engineering, with a focus on customer data models.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including the ability to develop and optimize complex queries.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven hands-on experience with Google Cloud BigQuery.
• Strong experience in data integration across multiple systems and data sources.
• Good knowledge of ETL processes, data integration, and data governance tools and practices.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data integrity, security, governance, and compliance.
• Fluent English, with the ability to communicate independently and effectively with native speakers.
• Fluent Spanish, with strong conversational skills and the ability to communicate independently with native speakers.
• Excellent teamwork, resilience, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
