About The Company
The company is a non-Chinese metals and minerals supply and intelligence house. It connects verified producers of critical raw materials to global buyers (in batteries, steel, and chemicals) who are seeking supply-chain security. Alongside its physical trading operations, the firm runs counterparty verification, trade-finance coordination, and market intelligence and data services. Responsibilities
• Market development and account relationship management for non-ferrous metals (antimony ingot, natural flake graphite, and others) across Brazil
• Support new mandates as they land: tungsten, copper, lithium carbonate, fluorspar, magnesite
• Buyer coverage across batteries (including lead-acid), steel and specialty steel, refractories, glass, and chemicals: visits, proposals, credit, order management, delivery, and contract support
• Contracting-channel management via trading companies (tradings), import agents, and buyers' own procurement and import structures
• Import process coordination with buyers and customs brokers (despachantes aduaneiros), including documentation and regulatory requirements for entry into Brazil
• Sample, assay, and certificate logistics with third-party inspection bodies
• Regular English-language coordination with London and other overseas desks; local market intelligence gathering and reporting, including Brazil's domestic producer landscape (e.g., graphite, lithium, rare earths) Requirements (must-have)
• Industry background in one of: metals, minerals, mining, non-ferrous, rare metals, chemicals, materials, battery materials, refractories, steel, or a trading company. Any function counts (sales, procurement, purchasing, materials, trading).
• Native Brazilian Portuguese
• Business English (B2/C1 or equivalent), with the ability to independently handle English email, video meetings, and contract drafting
• University degree or above
• Based in São Paulo, with availability to travel to industrial hubs (e.g., Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul) Preferred
• Prior desk experience at a non-ferrous, rare-metal, or mineral trading company, or in the metals and minerals unit of a large trading or mining group
• Import/export documentation experience (L/C, Incoterms, Siscomex / DUIMP, customs clearance) and credit management
• Prior handling of antimony, natural flake graphite, tungsten, copper, fluorspar, or magnesite
• Spanish (a strong plus for LATAM coverage); Mandarin also valued
• Preference for a small-firm environment with real ownership over large-corporate structures
