Responsabilities And Assignments
• Lead the development, validation, and certification of occupant restraint systems for commercial vehicles, including airbags, steering wheels, seat belts, pretensioners, load limiters, and related occupant protection components;
• Plan, coordinate, and execute full-vehicle crash tests and sled tests for occupant protection system development and certification, including frontal, offset, rollover, and other applicable impact scenarios;
• Define crash test matrices, instrumentation plans, dummy configurations, injury assessment criteria, and data acquisition requirements for vehicle safety programs;
• Coordinate activities with suppliers, testing laboratories, regulatory authorities, and global engineering teams to ensure timely certification and validation of safety systems;
• Analyze crash pulses, structural behavior, airbag deployment performance, occupant kinematics, injury criteria, and restraint system effectiveness, proposing design improvements whenever required;
• Manage certification and homologation activities related to passive safety systems, ensuring compliance with global and regional regulations applicable to commercial vehicles;
• Support correlation between CAE simulations and physical crash testing, driving continuous improvement of virtual validation methodologies;
• Prepare and review technical documentation, certification reports, regulatory submissions, and compliance evidence for vehicle approval programs. Requirements And Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle testing, validation, crashworthiness, occupant safety, or safety systems engineering for commercial or passenger vehicles;
• Solid knowledge of passive safety systems including airbags, seat belts, pretensioners, steering wheels, energy absorption systems, and occupant restraint technologies;
• Experience planning, conducting, and evaluating crash tests, sled tests, and occupant protection validation activities;
• Knowledge of crash test instrumentation, high-speed video analysis, anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs), injury criteria assessment (HIC, chest acceleration, chest deflection, neck loads, femur loads, etc.), and data acquisition systems;
• Solid knowledge of cabin safety, durability, structural and occupant protection regulations for commercial vehicles;
• Experience with homologation and certification processes for global vehicle safety regulations. Regulatory Knowledge (desirable)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Automotive Engineering, or related fields;
• Postgraduate degree or Master’s in mechanical/automotive/materials engineering;
• Experience developing accelerated durability procedures on bench tests and validating automotive components;
• Strong knowledge of strength of materials, machine elements, metallic material fatigue, and mechanical vibrations;
• Proven experience with vehicle instrumentation, data acquisition systems (e.g., HBK, Siemens, Dewesoft), data analysis of experimental data from physical tests, focusing on strain gauge and acceleration signals;
• Proficiency with data analysis software (Advanced Excel, NI DIAdem, NCode Glyphworks, MATLAB);
• Familiarity with data analysis and task automation in Python. Differentials

• Knowledge on CAE simulation software for structural or multi body (ANSYS, Abaqus, ADAMS, Pacote Hyperworks);
