About The Role
We are seeking highly detail-oriented professionals who are native or near-native Brazilian Portuguese speakers and fluent in English to join our team as Human Transcription Reviewers. You will listen to recorded conversations in Brazilian Portuguese and review, correct, and validate AI-generated transcripts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, formatting, readability, and contextual correctness. English will also be used regularly for project instructions, quality guidelines, and team communication. This is not a basic transcription position. We are looking for individuals who can identify errors, understand context, and ensure transcripts accurately reflect what was said.
Key Responsibilities
Listen to Brazilian Portuguese audio and review AI-generated transcripts. Correct transcription errors, omissions, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and formatting. Ensure transcripts accurately reflect spoken content and intended meaning. Identify contextual and linguistic errors that AI may miss. Verify spelling, sentence structure, terminology, and word usage. Follow project guidelines and transcription standards. Meet productivity and turnaround expectations while maintaining quality. Flag unclear audio, inconsistencies, or quality concerns. Support ongoing quality improvement and feedback processes. Required Qualifications Native or near-native Brazilian Portuguese proficiency. Fluent or native-level English proficiency, both written and spoken. Excellent Portuguese grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills. Strong English reading comprehension. Excellent listening and comprehension skills. Ability to understand different Brazilian accents and speech patterns. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently. Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in any of the following is a plus: Portuguese Teaching or Language Instruction ESL/EFL Teaching Translation or Localization Linguistics Journalism Communications Writing or Editing Proofreading Quality Assurance Content Moderation Transcription Captioning Subtitle Review Documentation Review Ideal Candidate Traits You may be a great fit if you: Love language, grammar, and writing.
