About the Role
United World Telecom is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to improve the reliability, functionality, and overall quality of our cloud communications products. This is an on-site position in Pinheiros, São Paulo, conveniently located right next to Sumaré Metro Station (Line 2 – Green), easily accessible by public transportation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM BRT. Your primary focus will be our Softphone applications across iOS, Android, Web, Windows, and macOS, as well as our CRM and PBX integrations. You will also test our Customer Control Panel, IVR platform, and other customer-facing features. This is a hands-on QA role with real ownership. You will independently evaluate software behavior, investigate defects, validate fixes, and help prevent regressions. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success, you will also help establish practical test coverage, testing processes, and release quality standards.
What You'll Do
Softphone & Cross-Platform Testing
• Perform functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and release testing across our Softphone applications.
• Validate critical calling workflows, including inbound and outbound calls, audio, connectivity, call controls, notifications, and other supported features.
• Test across devices, operating systems, browsers, network conditions, and configurations to identify platform-specific issues and inconsistencies.
• Build repeatable test scenarios and regression coverage for business-critical calling functionality. CRM & PBX Integration Testing
• Test integrations with platforms such as HubSpot, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams, Zoho, Salesforce, and Pipedrive.
• Validate supported calling workflows, authentication, synchronization, data exchange, and integration-specific behavior.
• Identify reliability and compatibility issues, and prioritize testing based on customer usage, business impact, and risk. Control Panel & Other Applications
• Test our Customer Control Panel across supported browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
• Validate new features, account configurations, permissions, IVR workflows, and advanced service functionality.
• Check for regressions, usability problems, and inconsistencies before changes reach customers. Bug Investigation & Troubleshooting
• Investigate and reproduce issues reported by customers and internal teams.
• Document actionable bug reports with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, affected environments, severity, and supporting evidence.
• Use browser developer tools, logs, and other diagnostic resources to support investigations when available.
• Collaborate with developers to clarify issues, retest fixes, and verify resolution. Test Planning, Releases & Collaboration
• Create and maintain test cases, checklists, regression suites, and clear testing documentation.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and help develop risk-based testing priorities across our product ecosystem.
• Support release validation and communicate outstanding defects, testing results, and release risks.
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to improve product reliability and the overall customer experience.
• Proactively explore edge cases and challenge assumptions rather than relying only on predefined test cases. What We're Looking For
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software QA, application testing, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
• Hands-on experience testing web, desktop, and/or mobile applications.
• Experience writing test cases, planning test coverage, and documenting defects clearly.
• Ability to reproduce complex issues, isolate relevant conditions, and communicate findings to engineers.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to software quality.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of QA activities.
• Professional English proficiency to collaborate with international teams daily. Nice to Have
• Experience testing VoIP, Softphone, telephony, contact center, or cloud communications products.
• Familiarity with SIP, WebRTC, RTP, or networking concepts relevant to voice applications.
• Experience testing CRM, PBX, API, or third-party integrations.
• Familiarity with HubSpot, Zendesk, Microsoft Teams, Zoho, Salesforce, or Pipedrive.
• API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with browser developer tools, application logs, or network debugging.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or other test automation tools.
• Experience with Jira, TestRail, or similar issue-tracking and test-management tools.
• Experience improving QA processes or establishing regression and release testing practices. Why Join Us? United World Telecom has been operating since 1996, providing enterprise-grade telecommunications solutions to businesses in more than 160 countries. Rather than simply executing predefined test cases, you'll help shape how our applications are tested and released. You'll work directly with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success and have a meaningful impact on the reliability of products used by customers worldwide.
We offer
paid time off, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to collaborate with an international team across multiple countries and cultures.
