As a Shipping & Receiving Technician at our voltage regulator manufacturing and distribution facility in Eden, NC, you will be responsible for the inspection, receiving, storage, and outbound shipment of high-voltage equipment arriving from our plant in Brazil and going out to utility customers across the U.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Warehousing
• Receive voltage regulators and materials from our Brazilian plant and from local suppliers.
• Verify incoming shipments against packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents.
• Perform incoming inspection: transit damage, packaging integrity, paint and finish condition, accessories, nameplate verification, oil level, and signs of leakage.
• Document and photograph any non-conformity and initiate the corresponding report with the plant and/or carrier.
• Store and organize inventory with full serial-number traceability. Outbound Shipping
• Complete the final inspection checklist before every shipment: finish and paint, accessories, visible connections, cleanliness, and identification.
• Perform minor repairs and corrective work on quality issues identified during receiving or final inspection, such as paint touch-ups, replacement of damaged components, and correction of electrical connections, as trained and authorized.
• Prepare units for transport, including packaging, blocking, bracing, securement, and palletizing
• Prepare and verify outbound documentation (packing list, BOL, certificates, and manuals as applicable).
• Record all transactions in the ERP system and maintain accurate inventory.
• Coordinate pickup windows and safe loading with carriers. Plant Support
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes and perform rigging activities as trained and authorized.
• Support electrical maintenance activities and the installation and start-up of plant machinery and infrastructure, under supervision and within the scope permitted by state regulations.
• Follow and reinforce all EHS/OSHA requirements, including lockout/tagout and PPE use. Requisitos técnicos Qualifications & Experience
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or inspection in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read basic drawings and bills of material.
• Basic computer skills (ERP, email, spreadsheets).
• Ability and willingness to be trained and qualified to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and rigging equipment. Perfil comportamental Preferred Skills
• Electrical trade school training, completed apprenticeship, or proven experience as an industrial electrician.
• Experience with transformers, voltage regulators, or other high-voltage equipment.
• Prior forklift, overhead crane, and/or rigging training or certification preferred.
• Spanish or Portuguese as a second language.
• Experience in a plant start-up environment.
• Willingness and ability to cross-train and support other manufacturing activities as business needs require. Physical Requirements
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg), with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to safely work around forklifts, overhead cranes, suspended loads, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or platforms as required.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements when required.
• Ability to use appropriate PPE.
