🚀 We are looking for a Lead Data Enginner (GCP) to work in US Eastern Time (ET) business hours Main responsabilities:
- Serve as a data engineering technical lead for the US Commercial GCP Data Platform.
- Provide hands-on engineering and development support for Commercial, HEOR, Finance, and related enterprise data initiatives.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, models, datasets, and analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Guide architecture and solution design decisions for new and existing data products.
- Lead data modeling, including logical and physical models for analytics and reporting.
- Partner with architects, engineers, analysts, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Contribute to technical design and brainstorming sessions, assessing dependencies, scalability, maintainability, security, performance, and implementation options.
- Conduct technical and code reviews, providing guidance on solution design, implementation patterns, and maintainability.
- Develop and optimize solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, and related GCP data services.
- Build and maintain data transformation and orchestration processes using SQL, Python, dbt, and workflow technologies.
- Resolve complex pipeline, data quality, performance, access, and integration issues across DEV, UAT, and PROD.
- Partner with platform engineering teams on infrastructure, IAM, security, networking, monitoring, and deployment needs.
- Work with governance and business teams to ensure solutions follow established security, governance, data quality, SDLC, and change-management practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, automation, observability, performance, and developer experience.
- Maintain technical and architecture documentation, data models, and engineering standards.
- Represent data engineering in cross-functional architecture and platform discussions. Required

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, cloud data engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based data platforms.
- Advanced BigQuery experience, including SQL development, data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale analytical workloads.
- Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD practices, preferably using GitLab.
- Working knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
- Ability to balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and collaborate with US and global stakeholders. French proficiency is a plus.
