Must have tools: C++, API, Blaze Role Overview Experienced C++ Engineers to manage third-party software dependencies across enterprise C++ monorepo. In this role, engineers will lead the integration, maintenance, and upgrade paths for external libraries, refactor breaking API changes, and optimize hermetic build pipelines to maintain high compilation speed and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Dependency Management & Upgrades: Ingest, update, and maintain upstream third-party C++ libraries across a single unified source tree.
- Monorepo Integration: Translate external build scripts into clean, standardized internal target definitions.
- Large-Scale Refactoring: Identify, resolve, and automate fixes for breaking API/ABI changes, compiler warnings, and standard changes across downstream codebases.
- Build Pipeline Optimization: Architect and fine-tune build rules, compiler flags, and distributed build caches to maintain fast compilation and test execution times.
- Tooling & Automation: Utilize AST-based refactoring tools, static analyzers, and sanitizers (ASan, MSan, TSan) to validate external code safety and compliance. Qualifications
- C++ Expertise: 5+ years of production experience with modern C++ standards (C++17/C++20/C++23) in large multi-module applications.
- Build Infrastructure: Advanced hands-on experience with production build platforms (e.g., Bazel, CMake) and compiler toolchains (Clang, GCC, MSVC).
- Linkers & ABIs: Deep knowledge of dynamic/static linking, symbol visibility, and memory layout compatibility.
- Automated Code Transformation: Experience writing custom scripts or using compiler tooling (like Clang AST matchers or static analysis engines) to execute broad refactoring tasks.
