UTEC is looking to add a qualified Senior Buyer to the team.
The Senior Buyer will lead strategic and complex procurement processes for materials, equipment, and services essential to operations, ensuring quality, competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company's operational and financial objectives through effective supplier management and high-value negotiations.
The successful candidate will be based in the Rio de Janeiro area.
Duties
Negotiate the purchase of items such as spare parts, components, consumables, and services to meet project demands, in accordance with company procedures
Develop and qualify new suppliers
Issue NDAs and other internal documents for critical suppliers
Create and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in the Business Central system
Manage and respond to purchase requisitions generated by projects
Negotiate pricing agreements and small contracts for recurring materials and services
Procure facilities‐related services and supplies
Bachelor's degree (Business Administration or related fields)
Advanced English skills (spoken and written)
Minimum 6 years' experience in similar position
Experience in the oil and gas industry
Experience providing customer service/support to Petrobras
Must be team‐oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential
Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision
