Overview
The person in this role is a senior individual contributor who safeguards the quality and consistency of solutions delivered across Bunge's multi-Org Salesforce platform.
Acting as a design- and code-governance gatekeeper, this individual reviews and approves technical designs and pull requests and provides Americas-hours technical support governance.
Positioned in São Paulo to provide time-zone coverage across the Americas, the role partners closely with the Sr Technical Architect, the DevOps/Release analyst, and the regional support team to ensure every change respects Bunge's development guidelines, security model, and platform standards.
Essential Functions: Main Accountabilities
Perform impact assessments for new enhancements, integrations, data-model changes, automation, and security modifications across the Salesforce platform.
Collaborate with developers, architects, and administrators to design maintainable solutions aligned with Salesforce best practices and Bunge standards.
Support testing activities including test planning, test-case validation, UAT coordination, defect analysis, and deployment-readiness assessments.
Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce platform issues related to configuration, integrations, security, data quality, and performance.
Maintain and review technical solution documentation, architecture decisions, integration specifications, and governance standards.
Provide production support and continuous-improvement recommendations to enhance platform adoption, user experience, operational efficiency, and business value
Review and approve Solution Design Documents (SDDs) and pull requests before development begins, enforcing the global template, component reuse, governor-limit awareness, and Bunge development guidelines (e.g., "without sharing" usage, user-mode queries, approved trigger framework).
Act as a technical gatekeeper for changes that touch core objects, the data model, sharing, or automation — ensuring solutions remain consistent with the applicable Org / template and do not introduce divergence or technical debt.
Uphold platform consistency through cross-review of designs and code across both business-line Orgs, escalating structurally significant or cross‐Org changes to the Global Technical Architect.
Provide Americas-hours support governance — partnering with the support owner to review incident fixes and minor enhancements (PR / code review) before they are built and deployed, ensuring time-zone continuity for the global team.
Act as backup to the Sr Technical Architect on security and platform‐health activities — including Health Check, Shield / Event Monitoring reviews, API / data / governor-limit monitoring, and technical‐debt and data‐hygiene tracking.
Support enforcement of standards on partner / MSP‐delivered work, ensuring external‐partner changes meet the Definition of Done and pass the applicable quality gates before release.
Act as a subject‐matter expert in Salesforce solution and governance practices, providing guidance and mentoring to analysts, administrators, and partner teams.
Accountable for the technical quality and standards‐conformance of solutions delivered across multiple, moderately-to‐highly complex Salesforce Orgs and projects.
