REMOTE ANALYTICS AND AUTOMATION SPECIALIST TO WORK WITH SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA AGENCY.
About The Role
SOMO is a Sydney-based performance marketing and digital agency, with a small London presence, hiring a Digital Analytics & Automation Specialist to help deliver on a services agreement with a major client, spanning analytics administration, technical implementation, measurement strategy, and workflow automation. This is a hands-on role covering everyday system hygiene through to building automated processes that reduce manual reporting and operational overhead.
The role is structured around three core service pillars, plus a growing automation function.
Working Hours & Availability
This role reports into a Sydney-based team, so overlap with Sydney business hours is essential:
- Core availability window (required): 9:00am–1:00pm Sydney time (AEST/AEDT), every working day
- The remaining hours of your 8-hour day are flexible and can be worked to suit your own schedule/timezone
- Given Brazil's timezone difference, this core window will typically fall in the evening to midnight for a Brazil-based hire, candidates should confirm this is workable for them before applying

Pull data from third-party platforms via APIs and manage API integrations
Perform ad hoc data extractions
Troubleshoot data discrepancies across platforms
Support integrations with other third-party systems as needed
3. Strategy Tasks (consultative & planning support)
Contribute to measurement framework design
Assist with attribution model development
Support privacy/compliance strategy work (e.g. cookie consent changes)
Help plan reporting infrastructure
Assist in journey mapping and insights workshops
4. AI Automation (new capability)
Design and build AI-powered automation flows to streamline reporting, data extraction, and routine admin tasks (e.g. using tools like Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom scripts)
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive workflows currently done manually across admin and implementation tasks
Build and maintain automations that pull from analytics platforms (GA4, GTM, Looker Studio) and push into reporting or notification systems
