Senior Product Designer – 2-Month Contract | Remote
Immediate start
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join a fast-growing consumer business for a focused 2-month contract.
This is a hands-on delivery role for a designer with strong B2C, mobile-first product experience who can get up to speed quickly, work autonomously and take loosely defined customer or commercial problems through to validated, high-quality design.
You’ll work across the website, web app and wider customer journey, with projects spanning internationalisation, new product launches, promotional experiences and customer communications.
Alongside exceptional visual and interaction design, we’re looking for someone who understands the commercial impact of design and can use customer behaviour, funnel data, conversion metrics and other evidence to inform their decisions.
What You’ll Work On
- Adapting website, web app and supporting customer experiences for international markets and audiences
- Designing end-to-end experiences for the introduction and launch of new products, from discovery and consideration through to purchase and ongoing communication
- Improving how discounts, promotions, pricing and customer value are communicated, ensuring offers are clear and compelling without introducing unnecessary friction
- Designing consistently across multiple customer touchpoints rather than treating individual screens or interactions in isolation
- Using customer behaviour, funnel performance, conversion data, research and feedback to identify opportunities and validate design decisions
- Extending existing design-system patterns and components to support new journeys and requirements
- Rapidly prototyping and testing ideas before developing them into polished, implementation-ready designs
Priorities may change throughout the contract, so you’ll need to be comfortable working with ambiguity, making pragmatic trade-offs and focusing on the areas that will have the greatest customer and commercial impact.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years' Product Design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating excellent visual/UI craft and strong product thinking
- Strong experience designing B2C, mobile-first digital products is essential
- Experience within a consumer brand, ecommerce, subscription product or marketplace environment is highly desirable
- Agency/consultancy experience would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of commercial and product metrics, with examples of using data to improve conversion, engagement, retention, revenue or other measurable outcomes
- Proven experience designing end-to-end customer journeys across multiple touchpoints
- Strong visual and interaction design skills, with the ability to turn early concepts or loosely defined problems into intuitive, polished experiences
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence, including funnel data, customer feedback, research findings and support themes
- Strong understanding of experimentation, prototyping and user testing
- Experience working within and extending established design systems
- Confidence designing complex states, edge cases and transitions
- Advanced Figma skills and experience producing clear, implementation-ready designs
- Fluency with AI prototyping tools, ideally Claude, and experience using AI to rapidly explore and validate ideas
- Comfortable collaborating with Product, Engineering, Brand, Growth and Customer Experience teams
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Degree-level education is required; backgrounds such as Product/Industrial Design, Architecture, Computer Science, Social Sciences or Humanities would be particularly relevant
The Type of Designer Who Will Succeed
You’ll be comfortable being given context, objectives and constraints rather than a detailed design specification. You can identify the real problem, challenge assumptions and prioritise the work most likely to create meaningful customer and business impact.
You’ll combine strong creative judgement with commercial awareness, understanding not only whether an experience looks and feels right, but whether it improves the customer journey and delivers measurable results.
This role is best suited to someone with a strong consumer-facing portfolio. Experience focused predominantly on B2B enterprise software, internal tooling or highly corporate platforms is unlikely to be as closely aligned.
