Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for multiple client accounts.
  • Categorize and review transactions and maintain accurate general ledger records.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end adjustments.

  • Review accounts payable and accounts receivable activity.
  • Record and reconcile payroll entries based on payroll reports.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and other financial reports.
  • Investigate account discrepancies and resolve reconciliation issues.
  • Maintain supporting schedules and accounting documentation.
  • Assist with accounting cleanups, catch-up projects, and system migrations.
  • Work with senior accounting and finance professionals to support client reporting and financial analysis.
  • Communicate professionally with the 4ARC team regarding open items, missing documentation, and accounting issues.
  • Support multiple clients while meeting established deadlines and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, AP, AR, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online strongly preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as Sage Intacct, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting platforms is a plus.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based companies or working with U.S. GAAP is a strong plus.

  • Ability to manage multiple companies, clients, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with a U.S.-based team.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone who goes beyond basic data entry. The right candidate should understand how transactions flow through the financial statements, recognize when something does not look correct, investigate discrepancies, and take ownership of assigned accounting work.

You should be organized, proactive, comfortable asking questions when needed, and capable of working independently once processes and expectations are established.
