S. immigration law firm based in Washington, DC — is hiring asenior immigration paralegal to lead and train our paralegal team. This is atechnical leadership and team-development role : you'll be the person who trains our paralegals, reviews the team's work, and makes sure every case leaves the office at the firm's standard — across bothimmigration court (EOIR / removal defense)andaffirmative filings before USCIS.We are not an immigration consultancy, and we don't compete with form-fillers.Every case at Cunha Law is handled as a real legal matter — eligibility analysis, case strategy, legal research, and attorney review before anything is filed. We're looking for someone withgenuine U. S. immigration experience— comfortable both in the dynamics of immigration court and in assembling complex USCIS petitions — with the maturity tolead, train, and hold a team accountable. What you'll do

Train and develop the paralegalson both sides of the practice: affirmative immigration (USCIS) and removal defense (EOIR)
Review the team's technical work (QA)— petitions, evidence packages, forms, and letters — before final attorney review
Standardize processes, checklists, and SOPsto keep quality and technical consistency high across every case
Directly handle and supervise the most complex cases(EOIR + USCIS), serving as the team's reference point
Draft and reviewdeclarations, memoranda, and responses to RFEs/NOIDs in clear, well-supported legal English
Set and enforce an English-first standardacross the team's work product and internal communication
Report directly to the attorneyon caseload status and team development, with disciplined management in Zoho (CRM + Projects)
Note:this role isnot client-facing.Your focus is the team, technical quality, and training — you work with the team and the attorney, not on the front line with clients.
Requirements (the bar is high and it doesn't drop)
~5 years of U. S. immigration experience— ideally spanningboth immigration court (EOIR) and USCIS petitions, Federal court is highly desirable bonus.
