About the Role
Every month, millions of traders, investors, and savers read our financial news and analysis to make decisions. We're looking for someone who knows markets from the inside - you've traded, analyzed, or worked on a desk - and can lead the team that explains what's moving and why.
You'll own our daily market coverage across equities, FX, commodities, crypto, and macro. You'll decide what matters, set the bar for accuracy, and build a team of writers who can turn a rate decision or an earnings beat into content readers can act on.
What You'll Do
- Own the daily markets agenda - data releases, central bank decisions, earnings, technical setups, and how we cover each.
- Write and edit market analysis and forecasts, verifying every figure, chart, and claim.
- Set editorial standards and hire and train writers to meet them.
- Improve our existing library of market and financial product content.
- Partner with the product team on editorial projects and with PR partners to extend our reach.
What You Bring
Must have:
- 2+ years working in or closely with financial markets — trading, analysis, research, brokerage, or similar.
- A real understanding of what moves markets: macro data, monetary policy, earnings, sector dynamics.
- Comfort with technical analysis and reading charts.
- Clear, confident English writing.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple daily deadlines.
Nice to have:
- Experience editing or managing writers.
- CFA, CMT, or a degree in Finance or Economics.
- SEO knowledge.
