About Medicaidsoft
Medicaidsoft helps long-term care providers and elder law professionals prepare Medicaid applications faster, more accurately, and with less back-and-forth. We build software and service workflows that reduce the burden on facilities and families during one of the most stressful moments in care.
We hire across Latin America because we want sharp, reliable, service-minded professionals who can work directly with U.S.-based clients in English and help us deliver an exceptional client experience.
The Role
As a Medicaid Application Specialist, you will help nursing homes, care facilities, and families move Medicaid applications forward. This is not a passive back-office role. It is a client-facing position that combines document collection, case coordination, follow-up, communication, and problem solving.
You will work with financial records, identify missing information, keep cases moving, and support clients using our software platform. You will need to be organized, confident, persistent, and comfortable communicating in English with U.S. clients and internal teammates.
What You'll Do
- Collect and organize financial and eligibility documents from families and facility staff
- Review bank statements, income records, IDs, tax documents, and related materials for completeness
- Follow up on missing items and keep cases moving without needing constant oversight
- Enter information accurately into Medicaidsoft's software platform
- Help onboard clients and support them as they use our tools and workflows
- Communicate clearly with U.S.-based clients by phone, email, and messaging
- Escalate issues early when something is unclear, blocked, or time-sensitive
- Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple active cases
What We're Looking For
Required
- Excellent English skills, spoken and written
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with U.S.-based clients
- Some professional experience in documentation-heavy or client-facing work. We care more about judgment, follow-through, and ownership than about years on a resume
- Comfort gathering, reviewing, or organizing sensitive documents
- Strong follow-up habits and comfort asking clients for missing information
- High level of reliability, responsiveness, and personal accountability
- Comfort learning software quickly and working in a structured digital workflow
- Ability to work full-time during U.S. Mountain Time business hours
Backgrounds That Tend to Work Well Here
- Loan processing or mortgage underwriting support
- Tax preparation or document review
- Immigration or visa case support
- Healthcare billing, insurance authorization, or case coordination
- Executive assistant or operations roles involving financial documents
Strong Plus
- Experience with U.S. healthcare, Medicaid, or public benefits workflows
- Experience supporting U.S. clients in a service role
- Experience working with elderly populations, families, or regulated documentation processes
- Familiarity with CRM, workflow, or case management tools
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or a related area
What Success Looks Like
- Cases move forward quickly and accurately
- Clients feel supported and well-guided
- Missing documents are identified early and chased down consistently
- Internal handoffs are clean and reliable
- You become someone the team can trust with high-responsibility case work
This Role Is Probably Not a Fit If
- Your English is not strong enough for client-facing work with U.S. customers
- You are uncomfortable making follow-up calls or asking direct questions
- You prefer highly repetitive work with little ownership
- You need constant supervision to stay on track
- You are juggling other full-time commitments during U.S. working hours
Why Join Medicaidsoft
- Meaningful work that helps families access long-term care coverage
- A fast-moving international team
- A high-responsibility role with room to grow
- The chance to help shape a new model for how Medicaid work gets done
