Exciting Opportunity for Automotive CAD Experts ⚙️ Are you passionate about shaping the future of vehicle electronics and software platforms? We are looking for an experienced CATIA Design / Mechanical Integration Engineer to join an innovative project with a leading German Automotive OEM .
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in cross-brand platform capabilities, ensuring seamless mechanical and electromechanical integration for next-generation vehicle architectures ⚡
Project Overview
Industry: Automotive (German OEM)
Scope: Cross-brand platform capabilities, foundational technologies in vehicle electronics and software.
Mission: Ensure the development of E/E hardware solutions with balanced performance steps, high quality, and modular scalability to support the transition across all company brands.
Key Responsibilities
3D Design & Development: Create, manage, and optimize mechanical/electromechanical designs and installation concepts (e.g., ECUs, harness integration, housings, brackets, and packaging) using CATIA (or comparable CAD tools). Vehicle Packaging: Ensure correct space allocation, collision-free design, mounting concepts, and account for thermal, mechanical, and environmental constraints within the overall vehicle architecture. Analysis & Quality Control: Perform clash/clearance analyses and tolerance analyses (dimension chains, variability) to maintain rigorous engineering standards. Manufacturability & Collaboration: Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Assembly (DFA), and Serviceability while collaborating closely with HW design, harness engineering, system engineering, and manufacturing teams. Data Management: Maintain data quality and manage changes (ECR/ECO) in PLM/PDM systems (structure, versioning, release). ️
