Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to support client as a key liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams. This individual will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria, validating API integrations, and ensuring solutions meet business and technical needs. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can confidently discuss their requirements-gathering process while also possessing the technical acumen to work closely with developers on backend services and integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and translate needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Create and manage user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and backlog items within JIRA.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define and document service specifications, including inputs, outputs, data mappings, and business rules.
• Analyze API integrations and validate request/response structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
• Perform API testing and validation using Postman and similar tools.
• Review JSON payloads and understand backend orchestration flows, including service inputs, outputs, and data transformations.
• Support functional, integration, and production testing activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, QA, developers, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Assist with release planning, production analysis, and issue resolution.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve documentation quality, analysis efficiency, and testing processes.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Technical Product Owner.
• Strong requirements gathering experience with the ability to clearly articulate discovery, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration processes.
• Demonstrated experience writing detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Prior software development experience or strong technical background with understanding of application architecture and integrations.
• Experience working with APIs, including validation, troubleshooting, and testing using Postman.
• Understanding of API structures, JSON payloads, request/response models, and service orchestration.
• Experience creating Service Specification Documents (SSDs) or similar technical documentation defining required data fields, business rules, inputs, and outputs.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA.
• Ability to analyze relational and NoSQL data sources, including DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of AWS and cloud-native application environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevSecOps practices.
• Exposure to Veracode and SonarQube.
• Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, or SAFe.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance business analysis, documentation, and testing activities.
