Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated HSE professional to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Main tasks:

Conduct risk assessments for assigned projects and activities, identifying potential hazards and implementing effective control measures. Collaborate with shop personnel to instill a strong safety culture by promoting safe work practices, providing guidance, and addressing safety concerns. Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure all HSE requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. Compile and analyze HSE data, preparing timely reports and statistics to inform the project team. Develop and deliver impactful safety training programs tailored to shop personnel, focusing on job-specific needs and best practices. Supervise shop activities and team members, ensuring adherence to safe work practices and promoting a culture of job safety. Conduct regular toolbox talks to proactively address safety hazards and raise awareness of safe work procedures. Attend daily meetings and actively participate, providing relevant safety information and ensuring awareness within the production team. Manage incidents effectively, gathering data for investigation, implementing corrective actions, and overseeing timely closure of identified issues. Collaborate with contractors to ensure they are fully informed and compliant with our HSE requirements. Maintain a deep understanding of relevant HSE regulations and legislation, staying up-to-date on compliance requirements. Oversee the implementation and utilization of HSE management systems, ensuring accurate data entry and maintenance. Develop and conduct various HSE awareness programs to promote safety consciousness throughout the organization. Foster an open and receptive environment by actively soliciting feedback from shop personnel regarding their safety concerns. Conduct regular inspections of workplaces, systems, processes, and equipment to identify and address any potential safety hazards. Provide timely and accurate HSE data inputs to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making. Work collaboratively with the team to continuously improve work processes and safety standards.

Preferred qualifications and experiences:

Bachelor's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in a similar HSE role within a construction, manufacturing, or related industry. Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and training skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in HSE software and data management systems. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant HSE regulations and legislation. Commitment to safety excellence and continuous improvement.
