About the Role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing all sales activities for current and future customers specific to their Assigned Industry Market Segment, Coesia Company and/or Territory. The ASM is responsible for developing a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to accomplish the commercial objectives set forth by their director. The ASM will provide feedback and direction for the product line.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide positive leadership and manage direction of the Coesia CMS product line. Increase sales and maximize profit through proactive selling techniques in the assigned territory and market segment. Follow the Coesia CMS Sales Process and utilize CRM and all Sales tools in a disciplined manner. Analyze products, markets and customers’ sales potential. Develop and manage sales plans, forecasts, and sales campaigns. Develop and support strategic plans and competitive market analysis for their assigned territory. Ensure that the company is providing customers with a complete solution within the CMS division including New Equipment, Spare Parts, Modernization, Service, automation and Training. Assist with negotiation of customer, terms and conditions, pricing, etc. Build close customer relationships in a professional manner through solution-orientated communications Maintaining key customer information such as contacts, sales visits, opportunities, emails, phone calls, offers, etc. in the Coesia CMS division CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics) daily. Travel to customer locations regularly within the assigned territory. Attend trade shows as required. Assist the Industry Sales Director with development of annual budgets.

What You Need to Be Successful

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combined experience. Experience with strategic sales action planning. Budgeting and sales forecasting experience Results driven. Strong presentation skills. Packaging industry or market segment processes knowledge is preferred but not required. Strong customer service, leadership, and sales skills. Understanding of commercial terms and ability to negotiate and resolve commercial issues with customers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to demonstrate active listening, organized presentation, and effective writing skills. Persuasive in interactions with others. Must have a strong working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Office products (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and the ability to effectively utilize CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics. Demonstrated ability to successfully exceed aggressive sales development targets and strategies. Ability to develop creditability with customers, reviewing equipment, and advising customers in their environment. Negotiation skills. Ability to work and contribute as a member of a team. Ability to present and communicate Coesia CMS products, services, and offerings with technical confidence. Fluent English Fluent Spanish Able to travel domestically and internationally.
