Brazil Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is at an exciting phase of building a logistics network at rapid scale, addressing the toughest last mile challenges and opportunities in cost, service, and quality. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Operations Manager to propel growth and lead the expansion and operational management of the HUB DP network, which comprises a hybrid model of last mile nodes leveraging existing small and local partners to deliver best-in-class performance through AMZL processes and technologies.

• Manage the HUB DP (Delivery Providers) area
• Spearhead new initiatives that enable growth, enhance processes, and lower costs for customers
• Build strong partnerships with operations field leaders to resolve issues impacting last mile and other Ops areas
• Identify impact of new business initiatives and successfully deploy them onsite
• Innovate to improve customer experience and remove costs from the network
• Analyze and solve operational barriers with a focus on root causes
• Continuously benchmark with peers from other countries to optimize the network and operations
• Develop short, medium, and long-term strategies for the area, with alignment to senior Ops leadership outside Brazil
• Create mechanisms and metrics to streamline daily operations
• Collaborate with technology teams and product managers to develop tools and systems supporting growth
• Work effectively across multiple organizations, including field operators, support teams, and technology product managers

• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, engineering, economics, mathematics or other technical field
• Experience in operations, logistics, or related field
• Experience managing partners in any operational field
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques
• Experience with full staffing life cycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations
• Flexibility to travel +30% of the time
• Flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
• Fluent in Portuguese and English, with excellent writing skills in both languages

• MBA and work experience in a technical field is highly desired
• Highly analytical and comfortable with large analyses
• Able to distill complex operating models and identify opportunities quickly
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels; credible with senior leaders as well as on the shop floor
• Experience negotiating and contracting with third-party vendors
• Ability to manage diversity of culture and matrix organizational structures
• Ability to handle changing priorities and exercise good judgment in stressful situations
