**You are**:
A driving force behind the flawless execution and delivery of all technical road-map within our media group. You will lead and push a global team of developers, data engineers, QA analysts, and IT Officers to operate at maximum efficiency. Managing team leaders across multiple locations, with determination to drive for success. Expected to deliver on every project with no delays. This role demands an uncompromising approach to operational excellence, requiring frequent travel between Malta/Bulgaria/Cameroon to ensure full alignment and cohesion within the team.
**What you'll be doing**:
**Team Leadership & Operations Management**:
- Lead a high-performing, globally distributed team of developers, data engineers, QA analysts, and IT Officers whilst managing their respective team leaders.
- Ensure flawless operational execution across all locations, maintaining high standard deliverables and minimizing delays or inefficiencies.
- Ensure seamless communication with effective tools (e.g., Slack, Jira, GitHub). There is no room for misalignment or delays, no matter the time zones.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with team leaders to enforce clear goals, set deadlines to be met, and prioritize tasks that drive results with a sense of urgency.
- Hold regular direct meetings with team members to obtain unfiltered feedback, ensure accountability, and push for continuous improvement to maximise performance and productivity.
- Implement training programs to elevate technical expertise and maintain high performance standards across the board.
- Foster a results-driven culture where communication is sharp, problems are solved immediately, and tasks are prioritized without hesitation, all based on the company's strategic imperatives.
Travel frequently to our 3 locations - MT/BG/CM, to ensure that the team is in full sync with the Company's strategies and expectations. Face-to-face interactions will drive performance and operational execution.
**Roadmap Delivery**:
- Take full ownership of the delivery process of the technical roadmap. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of every development project with precision. Align all efforts with business objectives and enforce strict deadlines.
- Deliver—no matter what. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, at the highest quality, and to expected standards, overcoming any obstacles along the way. Adopt a "failure is not an option" mindset to ensure KPIs are met, and the company's objectives are always achieved.
- Constant collaboration with cross-functional teams especially with the product management and quality assurance teams and ensure that development efforts are laser-focused on the company's bottom line.
- Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot issues immediately, and implement solutions that drive uninterrupted project delivery, regardless of the complexity.
**Technology & Operational Efficiency**:
- Drive a culture of continuous optimization in the tech stack, IT infrastructure, cloud operations, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that platforms deliver top-tier performance with maximum up-time, security, and availability.
- Push for automation and streamline operations to ensure the fastest possible delivery without sacrificing quality - you will not settle for anything less than the best.
- Stay ahead of the curve with emerging technologies and development methodologies, implementing only the most innovative and efficient solutions.
**What you'll bring**:
- 7+ years of proven leadership experience in development operations within the iGaming or online gaming industry, with a track record of delivering results under pressure.
- Strong experience in managing global, remote teams, always ensuring peak performance and productivity.
- A relentless work ethic, a fighter who thrives in high-pressure situations, and your commitment to results is unwavering. You think creatively and able to attack problems from every angle.
- Hands-on experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Lean), cloud infrastructure, and development frameworks.
- Deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps culture, and cloud operations. You ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
- Expertise in PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress, with a proven ability to deliver complex technical solutions.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal communication), with the ability to communicate clearly and assertively to all stakeholders.
