About the Role
We are seeking an associate to join our corporate legal team. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders, providing legal support and reporting directly to the Corporate Legal Counsel.
The successful candidate will play a key generalist role in providing legal support across all areas of the company, including contract review and drafting, preparation of corporate documents, and delivering legal advice on matters such as compliance, labor, civil, corporate, tax, LGPD and regulatory issues.
This person will collaborate closely with internal teams and external professional advisors, suppliers and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare first review, draft and assist corporate legal team to negotiate documents of different areas and variable complexity ensuring compliance with legal framework, identifying potential risks and providing acceptable mitigation suggestions in a timely manner.
- Support the Corporate Legal team by analyzing, organizing and aligning comments and changes in contracts reviews with external counsels, key internal and international stakeholders.
- Conduct legal research on relevant regulations and case law to support decision making, ensuring contract terms and corporate alignment with latest legal developments and internal policies.
- Assist corporate legal team in providing tailored legal advice across multiple areas such as corporate governance, labor, tax, civil law and regulatory, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Enhancing internal legal processes, developing standardized templates, performing background checks of services providers, clients and candidates, and implementing best practices to increase efficiency in both legal analysis and compliance.
- Support Corporate Legal in implementing specific projects related to license application to Central Bank, compliance with LGPD and GDPR and corporate tax structuring initiatives.
- Closely coordinate cross-functional legal initiatives, prepare materials, improve reporting structures and weekly routines with stakeholders; Collaborate closely with the Governance team by providing legal guidance, reviewing policies and documents to ensure alignment with legal requirements and compliance standards.
- Coordinate requests for documents to international stakeholders, receipt, translation, notarization and registry with local external counsels and paralegals, in accordance with local regulations.
- Establish routines to monitor legal updates, sharing relevant information with key stakeholders, assessing potential impacts on the company's business, and proposing and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Support knowledge sharing and internal development initiatives through the preparation of materials or participation in training activities.
