Overview

ICQA Operations Manager role at Amazon. This position is based in the Recife region.

Responsibilities
  • Measurement of quality and inventory transaction integrity accuracy while providing feedback to the operations.
  • Review and analysis of customer defect data with development of corresponding action plans to reduce defects.
  • Develop and execute daily, weekly and monthly action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy and service.
  • Partner with Area Managers and Operations Managers in the communication of policies.
  • Follow up to ensure compliance and consistency for policies and procedures surrounding Inventory Control and Quality.
  • Plan and execute cycle counts as described in each area of the facility.
  • Establish and maintain inventory handling procedures within the building.
  • Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation through cause and effect analysis.
  • Lead and supervise associates in Inventory Control/Quality Assurance operations. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the operation.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization\'s policies and procedures: interviewing and training exempt and nonexempt employees; accountability for setting and meeting operational goals; strategic planning and forecasting; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; resolving problems; staffing; and developing standard operating procedures.
  • Drive process improvements and keep pace with growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of a deadline-driven environment.
  • Teach and educate managers and associates on the importance of inventory control and quality assurance.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Inventory and Quality Assurance Management experience
  • Supervisory experience in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment
  • Fluent in Portuguese and Advanced in English
  • WMS, SQL, Excel and reports analyses experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong analytical, math, data analysis, listening and communication skills
  • APICS certification
  • Ability to show Inventory and Quality improvement in a continually improving environment
  • Ability to quickly pick up various software systems and data analysis tools
