**Job Purpose**:
The Account Manager will manage and grow the sales pipeline for a regional profit center, focusing on Tier 1, 2, and 3 customers and sites. This role is responsible for prospecting, lead nurturing, advancing opportunities, negotiating, and closing sales deals. You will develop and maintain strong customer relationships, becoming a trusted advisor and driving the adoption of MTS solutions to enhance operational value.
**Travel Requirements**:
Up to 50% travel, including domestic and international sites, industry events, and client meetings. Manage travel schedules independently while following company policies and safety protocols.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
- Develop new business and grow sales with existing customers
- Upsell and cross-sell MTS products and services
- Maintain a structured sales pipeline from lead generation to contract closure
- Engage with customers to identify needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Utilize CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and support marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with internal teams and ensure compliance with policies and safety
**Required Skills**:
- Personable, highly self-motivated, problem solver, reliable, ethical, and adaptable
- Strong selling skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum 3 years of technical product customer support experience (Modular products preferred)
- 3 years hands-on experience with MMS hardware preferred
- 2 years experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- 2 years experience with MS Office suite
- 2 years experience with SharePoint preferred
- 3 years customer-facing experience (mining preferred)
- 2 years sales-related experience
- 2 years mining-related experience
- Strong computer literacy and aptitude for technology
**Desired Skills**:
Preferred additional skills include familiarity with advanced data analytics tools and Modular products relevant to mining operations, experience in managing complex sales cycles, multilingual communication capabilities to support international clients, and a proactive approach to professional development within the mining technology sector.
**Hiring Range**
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $HiringRange. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
