About the TeamThe Mortgage Ops For Sales team is responsible for structuring, scaling, and optimizing the end-to-end mortgage process for customers purchasing properties. We are seeking a Strategy Operations Manager to lead and advance initiatives that drive growth. This role will manage high-impact strategic projects with an AI-first mindset, transforming current, largely manual operations into efficient, scalable systems to deliver superior funnel conversion and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is strategic, execution-focused, thrives in fast-paced environments, and demonstrates ownership and leadership. The person will dive deep into a few structural projects while managing multiple stakeholders (e.g., P&T, Data, Agents, BizOps). This role will be primarily an individual contributor, with 2–4 direct reports. Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Strategy & Projects execution: Lead the scoping, planning, and execution of high-impact projects—from funnel improvements to go-to-market models and AI initiatives—ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery. Own and drive the strategic roadmap for the Mortgage organization, ensuring alignment with area objectives and the company OKRs. Act as a force multiplier for the business by identifying growth opportunities, removing blockers, and ensuring strategic priorities translate into measurable field impact. Analytical depthBreak down complex business problems into structured components, formulate hypotheses, and design analyses that lead to actionable insights. Leverage data to identify root causes, size opportunities, and guide decision-making across the funnel—from lead generation to closing. Raise the analytical bar by developing frameworks, performance rituals, and best practices that embed data-driven thinking into day-to-day operations. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Product, Tech, Commercial, and BizOps teams to align operations with strategic goals and enable end-to-end execution. Act as a strategic connector between functions to ensure speed, consistency, and clarity across initiatives. Strategic CommunicationCommunicate clearly across teams and levels, translating complex ideas into actionable plans. Align internal stakeholders and promote operational clarity and focus across the organization. QualificationsExperience: 8–10 years in strategy, operations, or business roles within tech, marketplaces, real estate, consulting, or other high-growth environments. Prior experience leading cross-functional projects and scaling operational models is highly valued. Strategic Execution: Proven track record of owning and executing complex initiatives—from strategy through implementation—with high quality and business impact. Analytical Rigor: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deconstruct ambiguous challenges, run data-driven analyses, and develop clear recommendations. Leadership & Influence: Experience leading small teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders across different seniority levels. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving alignment in dynamic environments. Collaboration: Ability to work across Product, Tech, BizOps, and Sales to deliver outcomes at pace. Communication: Clear and structured communicator, able to tailor messages to different audiences and drive alignment through storytelling and insight. Growth Mindset & Ownership: Entrepreneurial spirit with ownership, urgency, and bias for action. Comfortable operating autonomously while maintaining accountability.
