Position Overview As a Network Engineering member, in the Mobile Packet Core Services functional area, you will be responsible to propose, analyze and define the requirements for new and existing services and systems related with the Packet systems under the responsibility of the functional area. Prepare, design, test and provide new solutions or product changes of the already existing portfolio. Define and support the technology evolution roadmap for the systems under the functional area and domain. Participate and support the other functional areas in cross functional projects. Key Responsibilities Collaboration with other Networks teams in defining and managing the projects for delivery of new solutions Project delivery, network design, integration and migration strategy definition. Collaboration with other relevant departments. Responsible for end‑to‑end delivery Design of new consumer and corporate telecom solutions Creation and maintenance of technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs, WOs, etc.) across the lifecycle of the solutions Perform implementations in live environment and understand end‑to‑end system testing requirements Follow‑up and define quality and performance indicators Capacity and performance analysis, reporting and improvement solution definition Service and resource configuration definition and implementation on requested systems Work on complex solutions that influence the design of current products and address design issues for future products or technologies Close relationship with external partners like carriers and service providers Manage change requests to current partners to meet network necessities Control the network elements roadmap, responsible for necessary software/hardware upgrades during the component lifecycle Generate and implement process improvements, including and especially cross‑team processes Document existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives Requirements Must Have Proven experience in implementation of live solutions on mobile telecom (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS), network design, capacity management, engineering, and architecture Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications Experience in the design, test and operation of Packet Core systems, including P‑GW, RADIUS, DNS, PCRF, ePDG, DRA Experience in defining, establishing and maintaining roaming interconnects for GRX/IPX Understanding of IMS architecture. Knowledge about VoIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and QoS IMS architecture with understanding of IMS nodes including P/S/I‑CSCF, Application Servers Experience designing, implementing, testing and troubleshooting interfaces: Gx, RADIUS, SGi/Gi, Gy, Bp, S6b, S2b, SWm, Sxb Experience in mobile services charging (offline, online) and knowledge of OCS, Gy and Bp interfaces Experience with IoT, including LTE‑M and NB‑IoT Knowledge and experience with Diameter/SCTP networks and protocols Knowledge and experience with protocols such as RADIUS, GTP‑C, GTP‑U, Diameter, MAP, S6a Experience with protocol analyzer tools like Wireshark, Astelia, and ability to use them to troubleshoot network errors/problems for the mentioned protocols Experience with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions Familiar with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s) and landscape English proficiency mandatory, other languages are a plus Degree in Telecom Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience Nice to Have +3 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks Experience in creating PCRF products, plans, service logic based on PCC architecture Experience in 5G Core design, implementation and operation Previous experience with Nokia and Affiliated Networks EPC products Benefits CLT contract – enjoy job stability and reliable benefits that value your work Quarterly performance bonuses to reward your hard work and achievements Meal allowance paid into Caju card – R$100 per working day Health insurance with SulAmérica – 50% covered by the company Daycare allowance provided to mothers with children under 3 years old – R$500 per month per child Kickstart your journey with an exciting welcome onboarding trip to one of our European offices (Lisbon or Berlin) Why 1GLOBAL?
