Position Overview A Network Engineering member in the Mobile Packet Core Services functional area is responsible for proposing, analyzing, and defining the requirements for new and existing services and systems related to the packet systems under the functional area. The role involves preparing, designing, testing, and providing new solutions or product changes to the existing portfolio, and defining and supporting the technology evolution roadmap for the systems under the functional area and domain. The engineer participates and supports other functional areas in cross‑functional projects. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with other network teams to define and manage projects for delivery of new solutions. Deliver network design, integration, and migration strategy, ensuring end‑to‑end delivery. Design new consumer and corporate telecom solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation (HLDs, LLDs, WOs, etc.) throughout the lifecycle. Implement solutions in live environments, ensuring end‑to‑end system testing. Define and monitor quality and performance indicators. Perform capacity and performance analysis, reporting, and improvement solution definition. Configure and implement service and resource definitions on requested systems. Design complex solutions influencing current product architecture and future technologies. Maintain close relationships with external partners such as carriers and service providers. Manage change requests to partners to meet network necessities. Control the network elements roadmap, responsible for necessary software/hardware upgrades during the components lifecycle. Generate and implement process improvements, including cross‑team processes. Document the existing technology portfolio and propose recommendations for improvements or alternatives. Requirements Must Have Proven experience implementing live solutions on mobile telecom (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS), networks design, capacity management, engineering, and architecture. Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications. Experience designing, testing, and operating packet core systems, including P-GW, RADIUS, DNS, PCRF, ePDG, DRA. Experience defining, establishing, and maintaining roaming interconnects for GRX/IPX. Understanding of IMS architecture, VoIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi, and QoS. Knowledge of IMS nodes such as P/S/I-CSCF and application servers. Experience designing, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting interfaces: Gx, RADIUS, SGi/Gi, Gy, Bp, S6b, S2b, SWm, Sxb. Experience in mobile services charging (offline, online) and OCS, Gy, Bp interfaces. Experience with IoT, including LTE-M and NB-IoT. Knowledge of Diameter/SCTP networks and protocols. Knowledge of RADIUS, GTP-C, GTP-U, Diameter, MAP, S6a protocols. Experience with protocol analyzer tools like Wireshark, Astelia. Experience with ETSI NFV architecture and solutions. Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architectures. English proficiency mandatory; other languages a plus. Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have +3 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks. Experience creating PCRF products, plans, and service logic based on PCC architecture.
