Position Overview As a Network Architect in the Network Team, you will propose, analyse and define requirements for new and existing services and systems in the Evolved Packet Core and 5G SA Core domains. You will design, test and deliver solutions, support the technology evolution roadmap, and participate in cross‑functional projects. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with other network teams to manage projects and deliver new solutions Define and deliver network design, integration and migration strategies in a end‑to‑end capacity Iterate with internal and external stakeholders to determine technical requirements, risks and impacts Design new consumer and corporate telecom solutions Create and maintain technical documentation (HLD, LLD, WO, etc.) throughout the solution lifecycle Define and support end‑to‑end system testing requirements and quality/performance indicators Perform capacity and performance analysis, reporting and solution definition Configure and implement service & resource settings on requested systems Lead complex solution work that influences current product design and future technology directions Prospect new solutions through RFIs/Proposals and negotiate with suppliers Manage change requests to partners to meet network needs Control network elements roadmap, including necessary software/hardware upgrades Generate and implement process improvements across teams Monitor and document emerging telecom technology trends and propose improvements Requirements Must Have Proven experience in implementing live mobile telecom solutions (GSM, UMTS, LTE, IMS) and network design, capacity management, engineering and architecture Knowledge of 3GPP, GSMA, ITU standards and specifications Experience designing, testing and operating Packet Core systems (P‑GW, RADIUS, DNS, PCRF, ePDG, DRA) Experience in roaming interconnects for GRX/IPX and understanding IMS architecture (VoLTE, VoWiFi, QoS) Experience designing, implementing, testing and troubleshooting interfaces such as Gx, RADIUS, SGi/Gi, Gy, Bp, S6b, S2b, SWm, Sxb Experience in mobile services charging (online/offline) and policy control (DPI, PCRF) Experience with IoT (LTE‑M, NB‑IoT), Diameter/SCTP networks and protocols, GTP‑C, GTP‑U, MAP, S6a Experience with protocol analyser tools (Wireshark, Astelia) and ETSI NFV architecture Familiarity with MVNO/MVNE/MVNA architecture(s) and landscape English proficiency mandatory; other languages a plus Degree in Telecom Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience Nice to Have +8 years working on telecoms, designing and implementing mobile core networks +3 years in a telecom strategy role Experience in 5G Core design, implementation and operation Previous experience with Nokia and Amdocs EPC products Benefits CLT contract – stable job and reliable benefits Quarterly performance bonuses Meal allowance (R$100 per working day) paid into Cajú card Health insurance with SulAmérica – 50 % covered by the company Daycare allowance (R$500 per month per child under 3 years) Welcome onboarding trip to Lisbon or Berlin Why 1GLOBAL?
