The Accounting Receivables Lead will:

  1. Assist with leading the day-to-day operations of the department while ensuring that staff completes activities ethically and in compliance with all regulations.
  2. Monitor collection rates and identify areas of opportunities for the department.
  3. Make collection calls for accounts as needed and maintain control of aged receivables.
  4. Post payment upon collection.
  5. Generate Nota Fiscal.
  6. Monitor payment plans in place and follow up as needed.
  7. Provide updated AR reports monthly to management identifying AR/collection trends and escalation requests.
  8. Assist with the development and implementation of procedures and workflows through interdepartmental collaboration to streamline and support the end-to-end accounts receivable process.
  9. Assist with providing departmental training to new hires and participate in training documentation development and maintenance.
  10. Identify payment discrepancies and initiate collections or disputes resolution process; perform follow-up procedures as needed.
  11. Resolve issues arising from the use of the billing systems (i.e. ACES, NetSuite, Salesforce, Excel, Outlook).
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Competencies, Education and Experience
  1. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  2. Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational skills, and sound judgment.
  4. Interest in working with numbers and desire to learn.
  5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products required, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  6. Comfortable working with large amounts of data.
  7. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  8. Ability to exercise professional judgment and independent initiative.
  9. Exceptional teamwork attitude and successful related teaming experience.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
