At Crop Science, a Crop Protection Product area works to define the company's strategy, managing portfolio and innovation with a focus on the farmer, being the link between the Research, Market Development, Marketing and Commercial areas.
Insecticides is the main market in Latin America. In this area, you will have the opportunity to develop a holistic view of our portfolio, focusing on major crops (Soybean, Corn, Cotton and Sugar Cane) from creation to launch and monitoring of the product on the market. Connection and Collaboration are fundamental interfaces with different areas, because together at the same time, they are very connected to innovation. Also the opportunity to work with the management of actions and projects the time to coordinate you will have.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
- Lead the insecticides strategy for row crops (sucking segment) in Latam focused on increase market share;
- Define in the region the right product portfolio and positioning as key enablers for business value maximization across all brands in the mid (3 years) and long (10 years) term projects, including pricing, portfolio development and life cycle management;
- Assure a good alignment with field solution, market development, finance, customer marketing and commercial team to implement the strategy;
- Support Insecticide Lead to define and prioritized regional product portfolio strategy for row crops based on global asset strategies and regional crop strategies;
- Define product position and value proposition for row crops and ensure enabling of countries for their implementation (includes developing pricing strategy, market funding parameters, share targets, volume, brand strategies, distribution plans and portfolio plans);
- Define new product requirements, LCM activities, new uses and portfolio streamlining in line with country and customer needs, supported by R&D/Project Management;
- Drive Sales & Operation Planning process to optimize working capital and product availability by consolidating country sales forecasts, quality check data, align projections with financial plans/goals and ensure product availability to meet aligned forecast, and plan for product inventory management;
- Define long-term strategy for INS including interaction with Biotech traits, Digital tools and DFS;
- Prepare for and drive launch of new products within the region, ensure availability and adoptions of brand packages and communication points for key products;
- Define product value and price objective, aligned with global asset management, the Strategic Business team and the regional business strategy, to enable price strategy and corridors within crops;
- Monitor the competition, including identifying risks, opportunities and strategic actions;
- Define third party strategy for the portfolio together with 3rd party relations manager.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE POSITION?
- University degree completed required, preferably in Agronomy;
- Solid knowledge of agribusiness with experience in crop protection portfolio management and pricing;
- Demonstrated customer centricity;
- Proven experience leading/influencing peers and senior stakeholders at the global and country level on business decisions;
- Learning agility, being able to adapt to the new requirements of the Company;
- Understanding of crop related political, economic, sciences & technologies and regulatory requirements;
- Managing and collaborating in a matrix organization requiring experience interfacing with global organization.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English required;
- Spanish desired.
