Revenue Strategist

This role entails leading the revenue recognition process from contract inception to general ledger reconciliation for assigned client portfolios. It involves a broad range of responsibilities including revenue accounting, financial analysis, and compliance with GAAP ASC 606 and IFRS 15 guidelines as well as corporate policies.

Familiarity with accounting for multiple-element arrangements is preferred.

  • Meet business and financial close requirements by performing activities such as month end closing tasks, journal entries, and reconciliations for assigned clients.
  • Understand, improve, and manage the contract approval process from proposal through signature.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements including variance analysis.
  • Support external and internal audit processes.
  • Prepare and maintain deferred cost analysis.
  • Client margin analysis.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in public accounting combined with industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience working together with sales finance & Operational teams to forecast financial results and revenue recognition treatment.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP (ASC 606) and IFRS (IFRS 15) revenue recognition rules, preferably in a software company or IT service company environment.
  • Fluent English language skills.

Education & Professional Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
